There is a Mexican restaurant in town that is supposed to be good but everyone thinks it is too expensive (like $10 for a big burrito or some shit like that) so we're planning an expedition to Marshall (the next biggest town) to visit their much cheaper Mexican restaurant. The meals are so big that, if you walk out of there hungry, why they just sit you back down and keep feedin' y'all until yur not hungry no mo'.
The weather is like a cooler day for April in Brisbane. There has been some rain on and off over the past few days but nothing substantial - just enough to keep the ground wet underneath. We are supposed to be playing golf with Mike and Lenny, who are doing the ceiling for Sarah and Jerry. Yesterday, Clare got a phone call from Lenny to say that the bathroom upstairs had fallen through the kitchen ceiling and that Mike was hurt. We all raced up to the house only to find that Lenny was chuckling away and trying to blame Sarah for putting him up to the joke. Mike seems to be very proud of his work and very hospitable.
Just found out that we're not playing golf - sounds like another visit to the local store later today.
So... we decided to drive to Marshall and go the see Walmart.
As you go through the doors, it appears similar to a big Woolworths store except that the fresh vegetables seem a little limited. Another exception is having a restaurant at the front door before you get in.
Flouro seems to be the new black for this year.
Tim and Clare 'a wanderin'
For the American enthusiasts.
Electrified bug zapper - works the same as one of the plug-in ones but in-between a tennis racquet and a ping-pong paddle. Hand held and battery powered.
... and, of course, guns.
and people taking pictures of guns.
and BB-Guns (pellets) so that you can train the kids 'jerst rart'.
Milk, bread, dishwashing liquid, those little things with the cotton tips on the end and, oh yeah, can you get me a couple of tyres?
... and some beers?
... and some Twinkies
but watch out for those pesky state laws. I don't want to have to bail you out of jail.
Coffee whitener in an assorted array of flavours.
For the little gal who can't think of what to cook tonight, there's movie lessons on how to add a can of this to a packet of that to whip up a nutritious meal for the whole family for only 99 cents.
Funny, haven't seen any asians round these parts for years.
Donny came over for dinner last night and I made Italian. Tried to buy eggplant to make Melanzane but they were all out of eggplants. Could have made Twinkie-Melanzane.
