Day Two

Clare went to Sarah and Jerry's to assist with the clearing up of the kitchen. They were having the ceiling of their kitchen replaced. They live at the end of the lane way which is just near the truck in the picture. There's is the house with the green roof.

Go to the truck, turn right and walk to the end of the lane to the street.

Because of the winter issues, the dust in the town from the local mill etc, people do not open their windows. Consequently, houses are stuffy etc. They tend not to have lights from the ceilings and so lamps provide the illumination for many rooms.

Jerry has a fused back from years in the construction industry working on jackhammers and barely moves out of his seat. Sarah is in the early stages of dementia and has short term memory challenges. Lovely couple - salt of the earth.

Jerry was watching a Marx Brothers film on TV and chewing on tobacco. When he talked, he looked just like "Boss Hog" from the Porkies movies. Both are such lovely people with positive outlooks and a fun sense of humour.

Tim finally got the mower going and was so proud of himself.

Jerry and Sarah came over to lunch while Lenny and Mark fixed up her ceiling. They came over later in the afternoon and invited Tim and me to play golf with them tomorrow. Meanwhile the rain came down.
