Mike and Tim arrived to drive to the airport. Mike dropped us off and we went to book in.
Tim was told that the flight was oversubscribed and that he might not be able to get that flight.
I went through to the gate and met Jo Belchamber on the way - she was travelling to the states for a competition with students.
When I boarded the flight, Tim was 2 rows ahead of me on the side window.
It was a very long flight but my aisle seat gave me the opportunity to stand and move whenever I wanted so it wasn't too bad. The ear ache was not incredibly bad but still needed one or two nurofen.
